Volpaia Vin Santo del Chianti Classico 2014 ($49)
Phenomenal Vin Santo that’s entirely worth this price. Warm and luscious with orange zest, almond and walnuts against an almost rum-like sugar. The nutty, musty oxidation here has a sherry-like perfection to it. Absolutely love this. Pair with gingery or nutty desserts like pecan pie. Or the classic biscotti! So, so good.

Royal Tokaji 5 Puttonyos 2016 ($59)
This is just a honey-drenched elixir of yum. Love this stuff. Tokaji is very similar to Sauternes: sweet, golden, and honeyed, balanced by extremely fresh acidity. This 2016 is a fun vintage because it’s racier and more intense than most. Super sweet, honey-drenched pear and apricot with mouthwatering acidity that will hold up gloriously to ANY DESSERT or cheese on your table! If you like Sauternes or magical golden elixirs, this is worth every penny.

Vigneau-Chevreau Vouvray Silex 2018 ($23)
Absolutely delightful chenin blanc with a slow crescendo of acidity and a hint of apple honey sweetness. Generous length and awesome minerality from that silex soil. It’s just a TINY bit sweet and that’s why it’s such a perfect pairing for the Thanksgiving menu. Trust me! Very cool wine.

Maysara 3 Degrees Pinot Noir 2017 ($19)
Loving this fresh, exuberant, light-bodied, organic pinot from McMinnville, Oregon. Burgundian style that drinks like twice its price. Mouthwatering cherry and cranraspberry, but with an earthy, old-world backbone. Hints of pepper and baking spice. Fabulous Thanksgiving pairing!
