L’Atoueyo Pinot Noir Valle d’Aoste 2016
Pinot lovers, just try this! Drinks like $30 pinot from Willamette or Germany or Burgundy. Yes, it’s Italian! Near the French and Swiss borders in a highly respected, hidden gem terroir of the pinot world. High-altitude, organic, unfiltered. Lightweight and fresh, but with a dark cherry and cranberry vibe. Um…it’s just solid pinot at $15. End of story.

Alberto Oggero Arneis 2015
So uniquely good! If you haven’t tried arneis (pronounced ar-NAYS) this will be a fun little epiphany for you. It’s Piedmont’s darling white. The “white Barolo”. This has pear, apricot and stone fruit aromas with a twist of lemon. Hits the palate with a wash of gorgeous, stony salinity that’s like a fresh, sun-drenched ocean breeze. Pair with oysters, summer salads or light seafood. Discover arneis with this one!
